Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 review

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 review

Hailed as one of the best high-end compact digital cameras one can buy at a reasonable price the 10.1MP Panasonic
Lumix DMC-LX5 digital camera is available today on Amazon.com, as a part of their daily Gold Box deals, for only
$269.00. Yes, the LX5 which normally sells for $369.95 is being offered on special sale today only on Amazon.com
for just $269.00. Now if you’re well versed in this camera and you want to jump straight to the deal page hit this
link, but if this is your first time seeing or hearing anything about the LX5 please keep reading.

Despite its shortcomings, notably its weak JPEG processing, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 delivers an excellent
all-around shooting experience--fastest in its class, full featured, and capable of shooting some very nice photos.

The LX5's CCD sensor is also the same size as the one found in the LX3 (1/1.63 of an inch, which is large for a
point-and-shoot camera), but it has been redesigned for improved low-light shooting. Panasonic says the new,
thicker sensor is more efficient at harnessing available light and is capable of low-noise shooting at higher
ISO levels; during a demo, a test shot taken at ISO 3200 looked impressively crisp for a high-ISO photo taken
with a point-and-shoot camera.

All your captures whether they be JPEGs or videos are stored on a SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card that you must supply.
Outputing video or audio can be done using the LX5's mini HDMI port (provide your own cable) or by using AV Output
(NTSC / PAL, NTSC) cables that ship with the camera.
