Review: Apple's new iPad

Review: Apple's new iPad

As was widely anticipated, Apple unveiled the third-generation iPad last
March 7 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. Analysts
speculated that we would see the iPad 3 or perhaps the iPad HD but Cupertino
defied all in attendance by simply calling it "the new iPad."

Color reproduction is also improved greatly over the previous models. I've
never been unhappy with the way the iPad 2 displayed colors, but you can
tell at a glance that the colors are more vibrant and nuanced on the new
screen. On the old iPad, the Facebook icon looks blue; on the new one, you
can see that it's more of a purple tone. Useful? Maybe not. But once you've
used it, you won't want to go back to a less-colorful screen.

Make no mistake: This is the best tablet any amount of money can buy: the
successor to the best tablet money could buy, which was, in turn, the
successor to the best tablet money could buy way back when Steve Jobs was
alive and Palm was alive and Android was still a scrappy upstart. But Palm
and Steve Jobs are both dead, and Android is a no-foolin' juggernaut now.
There are more expensive and more powerful and faster tablets to be bought.
But they're substandard.

If you don't already own a tablet computer, and want one, then the new iPad
will be tough to resist - if you can afford it. The device, which goes on
sale March 16 in the US, Canada and 10 other countries, will sell for $499
to $829. If you want to save some money, consider the iPad 2, which Apple
will continue making and sell for as low as $399.

ipad 3 price Specification in india

ipad 3 price Specification in india

iPad also features built-in iTunes store, watch YouTube with high-definition
playback, TV shows and movies.Apple iPad is loaded with Wi-Fi, GPS with Google
maps, Full Capacitive Touchscreen with Multi-touch.

Expected that the new iPAD 3 would be lighter than its predecessor iPAD 2 as
new lighter and thinner battery is used in iPAD 3. This new lighter battery
may cost 20 to 30 percent more and give longer battery life. So, no doubt that
the new iPAD 3 would cost more than the present iPAD 2 as the latest version
will use Retina Display and thinner battery. But, price is not a problem till
it performs well. Definitely the new iPAD 3 will get tough competition as lots
of competitors are coming with Android based TAB.

Apple iPad 3 Launch Date Announced

Apple iPad 3 Launch Date Announced

Apple is inviting reporters to an event next Wednesday in San Francisco.
Apple has officially sent out invitations for its launch event featuring
the iPad 3. The invitation is for the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts
Theater, where Apple holds larger launch events. Event  theme is “We have
something you really have to see. And touch.”

The March 7 date fits with what AllThingsD reported last week, about the
next iPad event being scheduled for the first week of March, and Wednesday
is a traditional day for Apple to hold these types of events.

Whether Apple would simply improve and optimize the current dual-core ARM
Cortex A9 processor found in the Apple A5 SoC, or go quad-core has been a
lingering question, with 9to5Mac finding code references to quad-core but
The Verge hearing otherwise. However, it sounds like they’re going
quad-core.

In a nutshell, the Apple iPad3 will feature a new, thinner and sleeker
design, down nearly 20 percent in size compared to the iPad 2. It will
also support full touchscreen HD display with a screen resolution of
2048 x 1536.

The iPad 3, you would have already read on our website and from various
other sources, is a top-notch tablet from Apple, building on the iPad 2.
There are quite a lot of interesting iPad 3 features on the charts.
Although some of the iPad 3 specs have been logically constructed, based
on the upstream supply chain information and sources from manufacturers,
most of them are still under the rumors category. Nevertheless, they are
very impressive!

Apple settles iPhone 4 antenna lawsuit: Report

Apple settles iPhone 4 antenna lawsuit: Report

Apple has reached a settlement over a class-action lawsuit filed over the antenna
problem which dogged the 2010 launch of its iPhone 4, according to a statement
published on Monday.

Apple promises to pay $15 or give a free case to every US customer who bought
one of the popular phones released in June 2010, but immediately faced problems
with voice calls, the CNET tech website reported.

The problem was identified as being due to people gripping the smartphone by part
of the lower left corner, strangling signal strength through the silver edging
designed as part of the antenna system.

"This settlement relates to a small number of customers who indicated that they
experienced antenna or reception issues with their iPhone 4, and didn't want to
take advantage of a free case from Apple when it was being offered in 2010," Apple
told CNET in a written statement.

But Ira Rothken, a lead attorney in the class-action case, said more than 21 million
iPhone 4 owners were eligible for the payout, adding that the free case offer lasted
for three months.

"We believe that the Apple iPhone 4 settlement is fair, adequate, and reasonable,"
Rothken told CNET.

Under the settlement, eligible customers - those who had purchased an iPhone 4 in
the US before Friday's ruling - have 120 days to make their claims, starting from
Apr 30. A website to facilitate the claims, iPhone4Settlement.com, has been set up
but is not yet activated, CNET said.

It remains to be seen how Apple plans to compensate international iPhone 4 users.

Apple announces iBooks 2, a new textbook experience for the iPad

Apple announces iBooks 2, a new textbook experience for the iPad

Among industrialized nations, the US has fallen well behind, coming in at 17th in reading, 21st in
math and 23rd in the sciences, globally. ”No one company can fix it all,” said Apple’s Head of
Marketing Phil Schiller. “One place we think we can help is in student engagement.”

You'll be able to paw through content, stopping to flick through detailed 3D animated models of
elements within, access video and definitions without leaving the page. VP of Productivity
Applications, Roger Rosner said that "Clearly, no printed book can compete with this:" given
the constantly-updated data available, that's kinda obvious. Still, you'll be able to read
in a text-heavy portrait or picture-biased landscape mode and there's also the option to
have random pop-quizzes appear to keep you on your toes. Annotations is an integral part of
the system: you can add stickies to individual pages and aggregate them into virtual 3 x 5-inch
note-cards for revision during finals. You'll also get the same purchase, download and re-download
rights you enjoy in the company's other stores.

Higher-quality iPad images were first discovered in the iBooks app alongside @2x images for the
iPhone last January. The discovery of the images was taken as evidence that Apple was planning
for its iPad the same resolution jump that it did with the iPhone. Apple released the iPhone 4
with a "Retina Display" that featured twice the resolution and four times the pixels of its
predecessor, the iPhone 3GS.

The new app will offer customizable topics, have room for things such as office hours, allow
teachers to post messages or list assignments, and make lectures streamable or downloadable.

Review: Beyza Stripe Sleeve for Apple iPad 2

Review: Beyza Stripe Sleeve for Apple iPad 2
I like all my iDevices “naked”, they are so slim and very well-built, they look gorgeous, and I don’t want to add extra bulk to them and cover their pretty “faces”. However, they all need some protection mainly from scuffs and scratches and best way to protect them is a sleeve case. Biggest benefit of  keeping your device in pristine condition is that it greatly adds to the resale value.
