Range Rover Sport that marked its world premiere at the New York Auto Show in March this year is presently on sale in Britain.
Range Rover epitomises the genre 'Premium SUV' like nothing else in the market but its sportier version has always received a lukewarm response. The previous generation of the Range Rover Sport was based on the Land Rover Discovery, unlike the current car, which is one of the reasons why it never looked as interesting as it does now.
The 3.0-liter V6 diesel chosen for India produces 292hp and 600Nm of torque. 0-100km/h takes only 7.2 seconds while the top-speed is restricted to 222km/h. The Sport with this engine option has its average fuel efficiency claimed at 7.5L per 100km (13.33km/l) while the CO2 emissions are 199g/km in the UK driving cycle.
