RIP Justin Bieber trends on twitter

RIP Justin Bieber trends on twitter

For those of you heartthrob Justin Bieber fans, a rumor that started Saturday on Twitter
may be confusing you, but coming from Twitter this shouldn’t surprise you match. Several
sites, including Twitter and Facebook, started flooding social media websites that the
pop icon Justin Bieber had passed away. In fact, the rumors (which aren’t true) were so
rampant that terms like “RIP Justin Bieber” trended on many search engines and Twitter.
However, chances are the trend grew into “RIP Justin Bieber” when his more gullible fans
became a part of the mess and started questioning whether or not he had actually died.

Another user called Jesus_M_Christ, whose tweets are predominantly satirical on religion,
wrote, "RIP Justin Bieber? Oh Hell no. We want nothing to do with him in the afterlife."

Internet rumors aren't new for the 16-year-old pop star. Internet bloggers, message board
posters, YouTube videos and Facebook groups are constantly pranking Bieber, forcing his
name to the top of the Twitter and Google trends. "Justin Bieber Syphilis", hacked
YouTube videos that redirect users to adult websites, and car accident rumors are just
some of the long list of hoaxes that focus on this young celebrity.

‘RIP Justin Bieber‘ top the Trending Topics. Consequently, the search term also landed
on Google Trends within a few hours.

But it looks like all you clever Biebs fans didn’t fall for the hoax, with everyone
commenting things like “haha it’s a joke” and “Death isn’t something to joke about!”
