Delhiites woke up to a misty and chilly on Wednesday morning and many wrapped themselves
in jackets and shawls as the minimum temperature was recorded at 6.4 degrees Celsius, two
notches below average. But a warm day has been forecast
"Today's day temperature is the lowest in the last five years. It was nine degrees below
the average for this time of the year. Last year on this day, the maximum temperature was
22 degrees," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told IANS.
The mean minimum for the month of January is 7.3 degree Celsius while the mean maximum
is 21.1 degrees.
