Joint CSIR UGC NET Exam is scheduled on 18 December 2011. Candidates from science background will participate in the Joint UGC CSIR NET. December 2011 NET exam will be held with revised pattern. CSIR will hold   the Joint CSIR-UGC Test on 19th June, 2011 for determining the eligibility of the Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility of Lectureship (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science.

CSIR Net examination will be conducted in objective form from June 2011. Earlier the UGC CSIR NET examination was in the format of Objective questions and Subjective questions. Pattern of the Examination has been changed from the upcoming examination.
