Audi TT Coupe Launched
Expanding its product portfolio, German luxury car maker Audi on March
23 launched its sports car TT in India, priced at Rs 48.36 lakh
(ex-showroom).
That said, Audi has over the past year or so worked hard at establishing
itself as one of the country’s front-runners in the sports car segment
with the launch of fabulous products like the R8 Coupe, the R8 Spyder
and the RS5. Looking to keep that momentum strong going into the new
fiscal year the German luxury car maker has just launched its globally
successful TT Coupe here in India.
The TT Coupé has grown by nearly two centimeters and now measures 4,187
millimeters in length, 1,842 millimeters in width and height of 1,353
millimeters. The wheelbase measures 2,468 millimeters. Audi offers the
TT Coupé in India with 2.0 TFSI engine which combines sporty performance
with groundbreaking efficiency. New to the TT is the 2.0 TFSI with 155
kW (211 hp) and 350 Nm of torque at 1600 - 4200 rpm. The quattro permanent
all-wheel drive system is standard for the 2.0 TFSI with the S tronic.
With this combination, it sprints 0-100 km/hr in just 5.6 seconds.
Ground-breaking efficiency A key factor for the groundbreaking efficiency
and excellent driving dynamics of the TT is the body, which features hybrid
Audi Space Frame technology (ASF). The body of the Coupé weighs only 206
kilograms, with 140 kilograms of aluminum and 66 kilograms of steel.
The body of the TT Coupé is based on hybrid Audi Aluminum Space Frame
(ASF) technology. Lightweight aluminum is used at the front of the car
back to the B-pillar, with steel panels used at the rear. The mix makes it
possible to finely balance the axle loads and keep the overall weight low.
