Recently researchers have come up with a new iPhone application which will make it possible for the people going on vocation to earn by simply renting their cars.
In order to enjoy such service, the car owners are required to install a Getaround Carkit in their vehicle, which should have GPS, Wi-Fi and keyless remote technology. After installing the application, it will allow the car owners to carry out entire transactions which will include reservation, paying for and unlocking cars only by using their iPhone.
Getaround founder and CEO, Sam Zaid said, "Getaround frees people from the burden of car ownership by turning an idle, costly, and underutilized asset into something that can generate revenue, and the Getaround Carkit and Smartphone technology make car-sharing safe and accessible to everyone".
The application will allow the complete control over the car. It is a safe application as car owners will be able to maintain complete control over their cars by setting the pricing and availability. They will also be able to monitor and track the vehicle to make sure the vehicle is being used properly. Moreover, cars will be covered by premium insurance provided by Getaround and Berkshire Hathaway, so in case something goes wrong the insurance will cover it.
