Samsung launches Series 5 Ultrabooks in India

Samsung launches Series 5 Ultrabooks in India

Samsung has joined the ultrabook bandwagon in India. The company has launched
two ultrabooks - one with 13.3 inch screen size and another with 14 inch - belonging
to its Series 5 laptops in Indian market. While both sport a slick design and are built
using aluminium and carbon fiber, the model with 14 inches screen is particularly
noteworthy as it packs in one terabyte harddisk and a DVD drive in its sleek frame.

Taking its design cues from their existing notebook PC lines, particularly the high-
end Series 9, the Series 5 Ultrabook features sleek lines and a cool, sophisticated
design. To ensure ease-of-use, while on the move, the 13-inch variant is just 14.9
to 17.6mm thin and weighs 1.42kg (with SSD). It features the Intel Core i5
processor with 8GB memory, up to 500GB storage and 16GB SSD with Express
Cache. Consumers can also choose from a 128GB SSD or 256GB SSD, as
their preferred storage. To offer maximum connection to other devices, the 13-
inch model also carries a full-size HDMI port, along with one USB 3.0, two USB
2.0, 4-in-1 multi SD card slot, Ethernet and webcam.

The Series 5 Ultrabooks offer a 1366 x 768 high resolution display with Samsung's
SuperBright Technology (300 nits). With 16 million colour saturation and an easy-
to-view matte screen, users can look forward to the high-quality visual experience
in a wide range of environments, both indoors and out.

The 13-inch Ultrabook will retail at Rs.48,990, while the 14-inch will sell
for Rs.54,390.
