Apple iPad 3 Launch Date Announced

Apple iPad 3 Launch Date Announced

Apple is inviting reporters to an event next Wednesday in San Francisco.
Apple has officially sent out invitations for its launch event featuring
the iPad 3. The invitation is for the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts
Theater, where Apple holds larger launch events. Event  theme is “We have
something you really have to see. And touch.”

The March 7 date fits with what AllThingsD reported last week, about the
next iPad event being scheduled for the first week of March, and Wednesday
is a traditional day for Apple to hold these types of events.

Whether Apple would simply improve and optimize the current dual-core ARM
Cortex A9 processor found in the Apple A5 SoC, or go quad-core has been a
lingering question, with 9to5Mac finding code references to quad-core but
The Verge hearing otherwise. However, it sounds like they’re going
quad-core.

In a nutshell, the Apple iPad3 will feature a new, thinner and sleeker
design, down nearly 20 percent in size compared to the iPad 2. It will
also support full touchscreen HD display with a screen resolution of
2048 x 1536.

The iPad 3, you would have already read on our website and from various
other sources, is a top-notch tablet from Apple, building on the iPad 2.
There are quite a lot of interesting iPad 3 features on the charts.
Although some of the iPad 3 specs have been logically constructed, based
on the upstream supply chain information and sources from manufacturers,
most of them are still under the rumors category. Nevertheless, they are
very impressive!
